Generally, I don't follow a recipe in making a smoothie. I am a firm believer in full expression when it comes to food. And while I would not get my feelings hurt with other people tweaking the recipes (actually, I would strongly encourage it!) I am still going to provide the "recipe" I used for my afternoon drink!
- 3-7 fresh strawberries (with the stems)
- 1 whole banana
- 1/2 cup frozen berries (I freeze my own if I can)
- 1/4 cup frozen peaches (also self-frozen)
- 1 tbsp. Motts Natural Applesauce
- 1 tbsp. whole flaxseeds
- 1/4-1 cup water
Pulse this on high for a few seconds and viola!
